AppFox is the software development arm of Automation Consultants (AC), an Agile and DevOps Consultancy specialising in supporting organisations at every stage of the software development lifecycle. AC delivers comprehensive and practical solutions such as agile at scale implementations, best practice consultancy, migrations, training, and managed services.

The Role
AppFox is looking for a motivated and ambitious Product Manager to join our team at a time of accelerated growth. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Product and other members of the AppFox team to help produce the product roadmaps and manage the delivery of them.

Your profile

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the product roadmaps in collaboration with the Head of Product and Head of Development. The Product Manager will be required to clearly communicate the vision, priorities, timelines and risks to the relevant stakeholders. You will work with customers to understand their requirements and balance these needs with the strategic objectives of the business.

As the items on the roadmap are being implemented, you will be responsible for tracking progress against the predicted timescales and take action to mitigate potential delays. You will initially perform the role of Product Owner for several of the company’s products.

Specific activities will include:

Communicate the product features and improvements to be prioritised based on customer feedback and strategic priorities
Maintain and manage the product roadmaps
Act as the Product Owner for several products
Work with the Scrum teams to prioritise which features should be delivered in each given sprint
Track the progress of delivery in each sprint and adjust the prioritisation as required
Review progress at the end of each sprint with a view continuously to improve
Perform customer-facing product demos
Engage with customers to understand their challenges and build strong working relationships
Inform marketing of the key product features and benefits.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

Nice to have

A bachelors degree or equivalent vocational qualification with minimum 2:1 result or similar

Strong project management skills gained in software or IT projects
Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Knowledge of the Atlassian ecosystem
Expertise in user interface and user experience optimisation
Experience with agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum
Management or mentorship experience
